It's Dec 2 and we're into the last month of 2007! GASP holidays are flying by too quickly!
Loads of fun stuff have been going on but I've just been too lazy to blog...
Let's see how much my poor memory can recall.
I don't get to sleep in on mondays, wednesdays and fridays cos there's trng in school. but the good part is the ppl are nice and I'm slowly succumbing to the fact that I have to do physical whether or not it's gonna make my thighs bigger, and that no amount of muttering complaints under my breath is gonna help. I suppose... it's a good thing.
To date, I already have had my first two bass lessons!! :D AND I got a very very pretty/shiny red and white bass of my own! :D I shall choose to forget about the entire unpleasant and troublesome episode I had to go through to finally get my hands on that bass. (hmph.)
I haven't had much time to practice so far cos of combined sub-ministry retreat and also cos we're leaving for Beijing tmr. (I can't wait! :D) But nevertheless... watch out cos I'm gonna be a pro someday! Hahaha at least that's what I'm hoping for :P
Retreat was fun! Haha duh. I never knew there were hostels at the salvation army until Friday. So the four YM sub-ministries were all there, and I guess I got to know a few people from the other ministries through games and stuff. My poor poor group! Night games BARELY started and 4 of us were SWAMPED by an entire group that had like so many more guns that us... and we were the first victims of the 'grim keeper' in the 'graveyard'. -.- Shortly after we got there, we were joined by 2 other groups members. Haha and that's why throughout the rest of the game we had to hide in the girls toilet to escape confrontation and run around sneakily in the shadows. So much for being mafias. Playing blackjack with peanuts was the most fun part luh :P
Philotheos had an amazing and inspiring time during the retreat. I truly hope that everyone in Philotheos can step up to God's calling, and that all the ministries can work together to lead YM towards where God has promised! Yup let us not forget anything we discovered or committed to God during retreat :)
And of course it was a great time of bonding! :D The endless games of bridge, heart attack, pig and polar bear totally did the job. Plus when ppl like Jotham keep triggering off stomach-hurting laughing fits non-stop... who wouldn't have a good time? :P On the second night we took a bus down to eat PRATA for supper!! Everyone loves eating so eating prata fosters love too :P Then we stayed up till 5am playing games after that!! I could barely function after 2.5 hours of sleep, until I had like 2 cups of tea. Before that I was too tired to even chew noodles. Yes so it was FUN FUN FUN! We were even fortunate enough to eat Krispy Kreme donuts!! :D
Anyways, what else... oh gdness we went back to sentosa AGAIN -.- becos stupid mil and ah lung si just HAD to sun tan... while I stayed beneath the shade of coconut trees AGAIN. Spent a whole tuesday afternoon with those 2, having good fun at si's house :D and the next day si and I went to queensway, ate katong laksa and yoghurt ice cream, and bought the new red and grey barricades (white base)!! I love my pretty tennis shoes very very much :D
OK that's all I can recall, which is not bad at all :P Off to Beijing tmr! I hope I don't get dry lips.
