eeks im soo tired... what kind of holiday is this. i dont have time to be a NERD and start studying!! i NEED to STUDY!
but today was really fun i guess! though the guilt of not studying hasnt quite disappeared yet. i woke up at 7.30 just so i could go for this convention thingy at ACSI. beu and i didnt even know what on earth we were going for until we got there! we were lost but luckily i found someone we knew right at the doorstep! he said, oh you must be going for ISC right? (independent schools convention) beu and i gave each other blank looks and we were like.. yeah yeah we are! hahaha so we found the room in the end. we were helping out with the prefectorial board and student leadership section. one lady interrogated us. luckily the nonsense we spouted sounded pretty sensible :D it was really fun with u today beu dear!!! talking about all kinds of things and trying to stifle our laughter as all the guests walked by. and singing your silly jingle!! :D haha love ya!

after reaching home i wanted to nap for a while before going for my match but there were all sorts of things to do. seriously every single time i got on some bus or mrt today, i was just DEAD to the world! if i didnt have to rush home or get to kallang i'll just let the bus or mrt bring me round and round till i finally decide i wanna wake up.
gdness today's game was really quite terrible. my first serve percentage was like what... 15%?!!? never so bad before. and i made like 4 double faults. the girl i was playing was rather nice :) she's french! hahaha i made a new friend today. but mistakes after mistakes mann. oh final score 6-1 6-2. ohwells, now i'll just have fun while getting STEAMROLLED by diane!

after jo finished her game we pleaded with the uncle to let us hit around. tiff and emelyn the sc girls, and jo and jia the mg girls :D but emelyn had to leave for tuition. so it was just the 3 of us whacking around! mann those 2 are like such spin-ny ppl!! spin, spin, spin! hahaha! super fun. tiff tried to explain to jo and me how ppl actually get a hickie. but i dont quite believe her. hahaha! she claims she knows because she saw her sister's first hand. ewww i still dont believer her :P then, we went to eat at KFC :D i havent eaten KFC chicken in the longest time. after that jo and i had to abandon tiff to go home while she waited till 9 for her doubles. what a way to spend time.
jo and i talked non-stop all the way home! and she bluetoothed me this really really cute thingy but somehow my phone doesnt have a screensaver so i cant use it :(

anyways i had tons of fun with emelyn tiff and jo today!! thanks u guys! :D
after coming home i had to start on all the SA stuff if not sandy dandy will just kill me. i've been slacking on them anyways :P
i NEED to study! have i said that already!? but it's so late now and we're just waiting around till it's time to pick my mummy up from the airport. yayy she's finally coming home!!! :D
and tmr i'll be spending my precious time in school for the SS project. uggh!! the school just comes up with different ways to torture us. we need to study!!

i got a stupid walkover yesterday! grrr i really wanted points so i can keep my seed!! if i get past tmr's game i'll just go on to be trashed by tessa/diane. sighh... and i really wanted to play yesterday. but i stayed to watch wensi and jess' game! 6-0 6-2 :) good job guys! and i was talking to jess' mummy the whole time. she's so nice! hahaha plus she sent me all the way home from kallang after we went to pick up cute little camden from jess' cute little grandma's house. seriously! she's one of those grey haired cute little ladies who look like they could be everyone's grandma :D

wensi and i were croaking away in church today. cant wait to get rid of all the icky phelgm. once again we went to pepper lunch and drowned our food in honey brown sauce :D then we shopped for earrings! nail polish for wensi.

hols are here! and i realised im not as free for studying as i thought i was :/ sometimes i really dont like being involved in all these nonsense things. darn.

sleeping for 11 hours has its advantages :) fever's gone but i sound terrible. i got out of bed and realised my floor was littered with used tissues. hahaha guess what they're filled with :p the grossest thing is that my palms are having cold sweat. so long as i dont get electrocuted!

now what am i gonna do with the rest of my free time... i really really hope i'll be well enough to play tmr. i dont wanna lose my seeding!!

interhouse cross country today. turf city was new terrain for most ppl. it was 3.7km long. i guess i dont detest it as much as before now :) i didnt get top 10 like i hoped to.. i got like 12th.. but ohwells i had a good run and those who overtook me at the last stretch totally deserved it. unlike me, they want it enough and are good enough to sprint to the end. it was really great pacing with jess! i never kept a good constant speed like today before! everytime we wanted to overtake someone, we would signal to each other and zoom! we're ahead of more people! :) if i wasnt pacing with jess i would definitely have slowed down somewhere along the way. right when we turned the bend for the last stretch we were supposed to pick up pace but i didnt think i could. so it was like

jia: jess go ahead
jess: you sure?
jia: yup. go!

and i was so super duper proud of jess!! she overtook like 3 people to get 7th place! haha my last year's placing.. -.- sigh, i always admired people who have such strong mindpower. must be like them! samantha and chowie overtook me at the last stretch. but they worked for it so good for them! only at the last 30m when i heard someone gaining on me, who was lianny, then i decided to sprint to the end! if not i would have got 13th. eee. hahaha

the cheering competition was pretty fun i guess. determined to be that enthusiastic house captain i told them to scream their lungs out! and us jacksonites yelled away!! but i think we got second in the end. oh and third for cross. lee won. nvm there's still swim meet!! go jackson! i liked it when we played bomb between the houses :D

then after that we had to walk all the way out of turf city to go to venezia! for st lukes meeting. hahaha it was really fun walking down with zhimin! to reward ourselves we filled our bellies with gelato ice cream!! i had triple :P dark chocolate, tiramisu and the new crunchy choc.. something. hahaha. its tastes fantastic! then after that my flu started to sink in again...
im so miserable.. fever definitely coming.. im so going home after taking my history test tmr. sorry bush, jac and jun.. forgive me for not supporting you guys tmr :/ sure you guys can do it! go mg!! and now i need to get a new box of tissues to blow my nose. hahaha

i havent posted in an eternity! though there's an essay to be written and a history test to be studied for, they can wait for a while longer :) and to update about the highlights over the past week or so, let see...

there was synapse on saturday! on friday i was kinda regretting being so eager about going in the first place, since i nearly died of fatigue from stress and wanted to conk out during physics tuition. honestly, if you want to have a terrible loser-ish friday night, sign up for tuition from 7 to 9. it can kill.

green shirts after war games!

but as usual, things arent as bad as u expect and synapse was real fun! our group was named PBJ for peanut butter and jelly. haha i stole it from 05's prefects nov camp. guilty as charged :) the games were pretty fun and there was a mass dance too! though it definitely cant hold a candle to the wesley camp's one last year. that was the ultimate best! but when everyone was so enthusiastic after remembering most of the steps, it was fun! i just liked the part where we started running so hard on the spot then jumped up high the air whooping away!

ooh how could i forget war games! whenever guys are involved in war games, its all about alliances, backstabbing and strategizing. trying to make it, professional, in a way i guess. it was really fun at first, waiting for the other teams to kill each other and patiently pelting the few stray ones who bravely wandered into our territory. so with that wonderful strategy, we lasted really long into the 'war'. with the guys lurking out to make attacks and defending the front line, majority of the girls huddled around the flag, sacrificing their dry bodies, which soon became wet, in order to protect the precious flag. so we managed to destroy two out of three of the other teams' flags as well as one decoy flag. then all of a sudden, the other team, angered that we had destroyed their flag, broke the rules of the game and decided to take revenge. it was like mayhem when they suddenly swarmed round the flag and tried to lash their arms out to rip our flag! more than 10 girls firmly huddled around the flag and keep those crazy people away. but it was so so violent!! this one guy next to me suddenly flung his hand into the circle and ripped through our flag! not to mention that the hula hoop was already broken in the struggle. water bombs were flying, buckets of water were pouring down on us. it was seriously violent as they pushed through and finally ripped our flag to itty itty bits. and that, was the most scary but fun war game i ever had. the closest to a war i ever been through. unlike the slc one :p hahaha super fun.

and the PL girls were so friendly! oh gdness but creepy, crazy charlene (whatever you wanna call her) is over-friendly! hahaha love u too charlene! and grace, jodie, elizabeth, charmaine too! wont forget u girls! :D PBJ was a great group! our campfire item was definitely not bad at all! hahaha. freshly squeezed from the biggest jellyfish from the oceans!

and yesterday during bio prac, we had our long-awaited eyeball dissection!! haha i was rather scared at first just thinking abt it. i mean the heart wasnt staring back at the me, but the eyeball could totally stare back at me while i slit it open. thank gdness i wasnt having a stomachache like during the heart dissection, i remember the smell just made me wanna puke.

so bush (my favourite and my only lab partner in the whole wide world!) and i bravely took on the task of dissecting the eye only after a few screams and squeals. it was really really fascinating! after painstakingly removing all the.. stuff.. around the eyeball, we managed to slit it open and examine it closely. the best way to learn about organs is really to have a look at the real thing itself. too bad theres no more dissections... but that was real fun bush!! we should have brought out cams!

well i cant think of any other major things that happened. oh health awareness week. hahaha. we did pretty ok for mass skipping 4h! we got.. second? haha well we were top 3 anyways :) and tmr is the cross country run at turf city. darn new terrain. i hate that horrible track. macritchie anyday! and theres an awful bug going around. wensi is already sick and im halfway there. darn.
